Palm Pre Multimedia Video

It doesn’t seem likely we’re going to squeeze much more information out of the Palm Pre at CTIA in terms of date, price and stuff like that. However, we should start to see more videos like the one below, that showcase applications that we’ll find on WebOS phones.

Here we have a demo of some multimedia functions and apps on the Palm Pre, including Pandora’s streaming app and the Amazon MP3 Store:

They ask a good question about desktop synchronization and the answer ends up being a rhetorical, “do you really need it when your stuff is stored in the cloud.” But I’m not sure the cloud is the best place to store EVERYTHING. Plus, what if you buy a song on your Pre – that SHOULD autosync with your computer on USB connection, no? All answers we’ll still have to wait for but demos like these are golden until we can hold one for ourselves.

    Palm does not necessarily need to develop a program to sync your Pre with your PC since the Pre appears as a USB mass storage device when connected to your PC, and any third party file sync app such as syncback (freeware) could be used to sync files to your Pre or any cloud service as well.
