At an event called the “Bring Your Own Big Wheel Race” in San Francisco, an eagle eyed attendee was looking at everything BUT the race itself. That is because two other attendees were taking pictures of the race with none other than the Palm Pre!

Personally I don’t think the pictures themselves are that cool although others seem to be gushing over them. What does surprise me though is the people that actually HAVE the Pre in this picture – they don’t seem very old. Who are they? Why do they have the Pre? Are they testers? Are they the children of testers whose parents told them to take it for a spin and see what they think? Or maybe they were planted by Palm?

I’m not sure we’ll ever know but it gives me further hope that I’ll have one in my own hand sooner rather than later!
