Palm Pre Viral Video: Casting Call!
| by PalmWebOS.org on April 28th, 2009 |
If you love the Palm Pre and are funny, cool and nerdy (isn’t that all of us?) then you might just find yourself worthy of a Palm Pre Viral Video. A tipster sent Gizmodo a screen shot of a casting call that will pay $10,000 big ones to the geek selected for the role:
The shoot takes place in Seattle and lasts from April 29th to June 5th. When would you expect a Palm Pre viral ad to launch because based on my intuition, this tells me the Palm Pre will be launching in June. Speaking of which, what kind of video is this that the shoot will take more than a month? Wow…
They give Brandon Hardesty as an example of a good fit for the role so if you’ve ever been told you look/act like him, we recommend you hit up a talent agency!
UPDATE: I was just sent the following description of the viral campaign – “The actor is going to pretend he is a man who is upset because the Pre has not been released. He will have a camera on him in his “living room” and will be posting to Facebook and MySpace all day. The idea is that he won’t leave his apartment until Palm releases the Pre. The ad agency was calling it a “protest.” Eventually, the actor learns Palm knows about his protest and then they make contact – finally giving in to his demands. The actors have been told they will be done with the shoot on June 5th.”
