Pre Training for Sprint Employees Starts May 6th
| by PalmWebOS.org on May 4th, 2009 |
We know that the long wait is winding down and another notch on the pre-sale belt is about to be made – Sprint Employees will begin training about everything Pre related on May 6th. What does that say about the launch date? Not much… but I would assume an early June launch at the latest since 2 months of advanced training would be likely to go in one ear and come out the other.

This information was rumored by Coal at SprintGurus who also posted a “speech” that will supposedly occur before training in an effort to conceal the secrets of the Palm Pre:
As I’m sure you are already aware, the details of the Pre phone have been a closely guarded secret, and we’re proud of that. We’re excited to have
reached a point where we can now share with you the details you need to know to support the product. However, this does not mean that our level of security has changed. In fact, we’re asking you to join the ranks of people who will keep the secret.
And the training will end with a reminder that, in addition to their moral obligations and loyalty to Sprint, they signed an NDA and the company’s lawyers could tear them a new one:
Before we end this training course, please remember that you signed a non-disclosure agreement at the beginning of class today. It is important to not share what you have learned here today with anyone until the Pre phone launches and we begin supporting customers. If customers or friends ask about the phone, direct them to www.sprint.com/palmpre or the Palm Website (www.palm.com) for the latest information.
I’m pretty sure at least one employee won’t give a flying f-bomb so I would strongly suggest staying tuned to this channel website on May 6th for potential information leaks that come out after training has let out. Even better, if anyone involved IN the training would like to register an anonymous twitter account and keep us informed throughout the day, feel free. And make sure you let us know @WhereYouAre!
Actually that would be impossible since Coal notes:
in this class all attendants will be forced to leave all phones ipods and cameras etc behind before entering.
Dangit.
