If someone went through the hassle of faking this 31 page PDF that lists every single Best Buy store with various inventory levels for the Palm Pre than I hope the interwebz implodes out of sheer stupidity. For that reason, we assume the leaked Best Buy document is real and what it shows is rather glorious: it lists every single Best Buy location in the United States and shows how many Palm Pre units they currently have in-hand and how many are on the way.

If you’re trying to figure out the best place to strike Palm Pre gold on Saturday, this document is a great tool. But now you have to ask yourself, are there others looking at this list waiting to act on it too? Maybe they’ll go to the locations with high inventories so I should go to the stores with medium high inventories? Who ever thought buying a new phone would be such a strategy game?
