Palm Pre Konami Code = Dev Mode

Go ahead… try it. Grab your Palm Pre, open the keyboard and just start typing “upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart”. Before you know it, you’ll be restarting your phone in dev mode!
This mode will most likely allow you to connect to the Mojo SDK and test your WebOS applications right on your own device. Since most people don’t have access to the SDK it doesn’t have much (if any) value but the novelty value is somewhat high. Funny, right?

The point is that this is the universal cheat code for old Konami videogames on the original nintendo system.

I heard you can read email in landscape when you’re in dev mode
So lemme get this straight…it WONT reset the memory, it’ll just restart? I’ve been trying to figure that out for forever lol

, and putting the phone in dev mode WON’T reset your memory. At least in my case, my Pre just restarted, and there was no noticeable difference whatsoever.

You CAN read emails in landscape.
1. go to mail
2. type the code in step 3. Insure caps button is held down as you type the upper case letters where indidcated. You will not see the letters as you type.

4. rotate you phone.
5. If it doesn’t work, close everything and start over.
