Salling Software has also come to the rescue with a new addition to their Salling Media Sync software which, you guessed it, allows you to sync your Palm Pre with iTunes again even after the v8.2.1 block put on by Apple. Let us all rejoice again!

Get you Pre out and open iTunes once again because with this software you can sync your music, photos, iTunes playlists and podcasts with little effort once again. The timing of the release was no coincidence as the President of Salling Software states.

“I admit the timing of this release is no coincidence,” said Salling Software president Jonas Salling. “We’re betting there are a lot of Palm Pre owners who feel burned by the new iTunes, 8.2.1 update. But they can keep syncing with iTunes using Salling Media Sync! It’s totally free for basic use, with no track limit, no playlist limit, and no expiration—ever. And it syncs photos, too.”

Pick up Salling Media Sync v1.1 right now for Mac OS X or Windows XP for free. If you choose faster syncing you can shell out the $22/€15 for the premium version but hey who needs to save time anyway. See the site for details on iTunes and other software compatibility.

To be honest I find the attention this iTunes saga is getting is terribly misdirected plus using iTunes to manage any media you have is prehistoric at best when you consider the Palm Pre runs on an OS called WebOS.
