Tethering with MyTeather fixed for webOS version 1.2
| by Shawn Brown on September 15th, 2009 |
We all have heard that the new webOS version 1.2 has added new Wi-Fi drivers that essentially break the functionality of the tethering app MyTether. Fear not because the developers of the app are already a step ahead of Palm.
The new version of Mytether, version 2.0.1, fixes the issue and they managed to release it before the new version of webOS has even come out. The slight drawback is that it is available by donation only, but it does come with an installer that will install it for you without the need to root your Pre yourself.
As with all new versions there have been a few changes made that make it even better than the previous one. Some of the changes include the ability to share your phone’s internet connection via USB and dashboard notifications. If you have donated and are giving this version a try please let us know what you think in the comments.
