There are now two ways to enter developer mode in webOS

On the Palm Pre you can access developer mode by entering the Konami Code, for those who are not diehard gamers that means entering “upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart” at the idle screen. Anyone can see that this is not the coolest thing to be spending all your time on so Palm has made it a bit easier on us.
Starting with webOS version 1.1 you can toggle developer mode by entering “webOS20090606”, this is still not the shortest input that they could have come up with but it gets the job done. This code is also entered at the idol screen or universal search input. There are now two keys to all of the homebrew fun that can be had on webOS.

I can get to the Dev mode toggle screen but the On/Off toggle is greyed out so when I tap to turn dev mode on nothing happens. Is there another way to turn dev mode on?
This problem started after updating my Pre to 1.3.5.
