With all high profile devices companies like to advertise them a bit by giving them some screen time in movies and TV shows. Spotting the familiar device on the screen promotes the thought of it in your head so that later you will again recognize it in say a Sprint store and bam, the magic happens.

The Pre has been featured in two separate “mini-drama” ads that were based off of Heroes and Desperate Housewives as well as a few television series this fall. In the ads Sprint made sure to get the Sprint branding in the shot so you don’t confuse it for perhaps the Pre on another provider in the future (Verizon).

Maybe you spotted it Two and a Half Men where a clear picture of it in hand made it almost impossible to spot or in the CBS drama The Good Wife. Of course advertising hound Heroes has had a shot or two of it, we all remember Hero saying “Nissan Versa” throughout many episodes in the past in an effort to advertise for Nissan. Where will the Palm Pre pop up next?
