We just saw a Palm Pixi on Walmart store shelves with the retail price of $400 but apparently on Walmart.com the price is as sweet as its going to get for a while. Online Walmart is offering the Pixi for just $29.99 no mail-in rebate needed!

Needless to say with a price that great on a fresh new webOS handset the item is already on backorder as we write this up. If you held off on the Pre to get the cheaper Palm Pixi you won’t find it anywhere else for cheaper for a few months. With the Pre dropping so rapidly in price we wonder how long  before we see a free Pixi out there.

Those who have ordered a Palm Pixi from Walmart.com still probably won’t be seeing it on their doorstep till the release, MAYBE a day before as some phone launches are. With all this news and hype surrounding the Pixi I am two seconds away from heading down to the nearest retailer and bribing my way to owning a pre-release Pixi.
