Pre spotted out in the wild! Why are there kids holding it?

Has anyone else seen this yet? It looks like some Pres have been released to some people! Not sure if they are beta testers (because they look 13 yrs old) or what... but they are definitely Pres... and they are definitely not in a locked down Pre VIP room.

Yeah, they may be holding it, but the picture on the phone doesn't reflect whats being shot. Its a photoshop or its a dummy phone.

Sure it does! You have to look at the enlarged pics!

This one you can clearly see the slope of the ground with the peoples feet lined up and you can see the red pants and yellow socks.

And this one you can see the guys white pants really small in there. I don't think this particular one is a live shot of what's going on. I think it's showing the PICTURE that was just previous taken.. which is why the position of the guys legs/white pants don't match up.

It shows a few more pictures and if you click on them it shows full size!

I voted for viral. When I enlarged the pics you could really see the glare on the Pre, and if you look at the rest of the pic everything is kind of blurry. I really think that it takes better pictures than it looks like. It's coming soon!!!

Fake

The phone looks incredibly small in a childs hand and although it's a small phone I doubt it would look like that in a kids hand, plus since when did cameras take that bad of a photo? My 5 y/o picture phone takes better snaps than these.

Also the reflection is odd, if he was front line of a parade I don't think a building would be reflecting off it, it doesn't even look that bright outside

I agree, everything about the photo image is wrong. Either a company sponsored tease or an overzealous Pre groupie stirring things up?

Picture is definitley fake, I do graphic design and work in photoshop all the time, the phone isn't weighted in the hand correctly and some of the edges have spots that look rough, but haha its always fun that people try to put pics like these out to tease everyone.

You guys are hilarious. This is not a photoshopped picture. Look at the rest of the pictures at *drool* Pre in the wild - bananachunks's posterous. Click to make them bigger. This is not photoshopped. At least not in my opinion and I've worked in Photoshop a lot as well.

And even if it IS... let us just believe it isn't! lol

Just 3 questions:
1. Do we really need to slide out the keyboard for taking pics?
2. Does Pre take pics in portrait as a standard?
3. That camera UI......Is it supposed to b that clean? I mean no options or menu???

May b some of u who has watched the pre youtube videos may answer these..

Good points! In the videos the camera UI WAS very clean, but it did have 3 buttons at the bottom I think. But who knows, those may slide away or the images above may be the actual pictures taken (therefor no UI overlay) instead of the live "viewfinder" images. It might be the preview pictures that occur right after you snap the picture.

I think they are probably real pictures. I suppose it is possible that someone photoshopped them, but lets face it...there is really no reason to do that. But I suppose unemployment is high right now...people have a lot of time on their hands.

These ARE good questions. I wouldn't think that you would have to slide out the keyboard to take a picture.

I just hope Palm went with a better source for ribbon cables than what was used in the Zire71 series! They were a weak link in that device, and many times broke prematurely after all the flexing to expose the camera...

the pre probably doesn't take that crappy of pictures...its probably the person, who took the picture of them taking pictures, who had the crappy camera.

I thought that I would introduce me personally to the community forum.

I've over heard many excellent threads involving this community as a result I've been cruising for some time being a visitor just taking a look at it out.

Anyhow, I've just in reality signed up and anticipate to bring some thing useful to the forum.
